Chilfen Joinery recently completed works on the new London offices of one of the world’s largest communications groups, Havas Media.

The 164,000 sq.ft new headquarters, located at 3 Pancras Square in London’s King’s Cross area, involved the reworking of a Grade A building to create a ‘London Village’ for the Havas brands.

Chilfen Joinery was appointed as sub-contractors by Structure Tone Ltd, working closely with them and MCM Architecture to deliver joinery fit-out, valued at £1.5 million, in an impressive 12-week period.

Chilfen Joinery were the proud recipients of the biz4Biz Award 2017 for the ‘Made in Herts’ category.

The announcement was made during the gala awards ceremony which took place on the 3rd of March at Tewin Bury Farm Hotel in Welwyn Garden City and was hosted by Rt Hon Michael Portillo.

In its first year, the biz4Biz Awards is an impartial, independent award programme that provides an opportunity for businesses across Hertfordshire to receive recognition. Individuals were given the opportunity to vote online for businesses, under a list of award categories and, subsequently, successful companies who garnered a substantial number of votes were shortlisted as finalists.

Chilfen Joinery achieved the ‘finalist’ status in two categories; ‘Made in Herts’ and ‘Business of the Year’.

Chilfen Joinery is pleased to announce the start of its new joinery fit-out contract at No. 1 Forbury Place, Reading.

The flagship building is set to become the new headquarters of energy giant Scottish & Southern Energy, bringing together staff from across a number of regional offices.

The extensive office space, which stretches out across 189,000 square feet, is one of the largest sole occupier new builds in Reading and is being developed by Como Group, in partnership with HKS Architects.

Our team at Chilfen Joinery are looking forward to delivering a highly bespoke joinery package across the eight floors of the striking building, including the break-out areas, tea-points and restaurant, reception and lobby areas as well as office and conference rooms.

Chilfen Joinery recently completed works on the new UK offices of international law firm Bird & Bird. The impressive new headquarters occupy 147,000-square foot of space in the heart of London’s legal district, on New Fetter Lane.

Chilfen Joinery was subcontracted by leading construction service providers Structure Tone Ltd. to manufacture and install bespoke joinery across all twelve floors of this contemporary, energy-efficient office building. As main contractors, Structure Tone Ltd. worked closely with MCM Architecture who were responsible for the architectural and interior design of the space.

Chilfen Joinery recently participated in the ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’ event by hosting a Macmillan coffee morning at its premises in Letchworth, Hertfordshire.

The event was a great success with a total of £100 being raised on the day for the charity Macmillan Cancer Support.
