Being environmentally aware and responsible is something we genuinely take seriously at Chilfen Joinery.

  • We have for many years produced energy from our waste products, allowing us to heat our entire facility using materials that would have usually gone to landfill.
  • Our paint processes are migrating from high VOC content to water based paints.
  • Our ECOGATE controlled ventilation system offers ‘extraction on demand’ and operates only when a particular dust creating machine is in operation reducing energy usage.
  • All our products are 100% British made at our 33,000 square foot facility in the heart of Letchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire reducing the airmiles in our supply chain.

FSC® Certification – As a certified Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) supplier, we ensure that materials can be traced from the forest to the consumer through a Chain of Custody (COC) record, and can offer FSC® certified products adhering to Forest Stewardship Council® standards.
