Dedication to Sustainability

Being environmentally aware and responsible is something we genuinely take seriously at Chilfen Joinery. We have for many years produced fuel from our waste products, allowing us to heat our entire facility using materials that would have usually gone to landfill. Our paint processes are migrating from high VOC content to water based paints. Our ECOGATE controlled ventilation system offers ‘extraction on demand’ and operates only when a particular dust creating machine is in operation reducing energy usage. All our products are 100% British made at our 33,000 square foot facility in the heart of Letchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire reducing the airmiles in our supply chain.

FSC® Certification – As a certified Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) supplier, we ensure that materials can be traced from the forest to the consumer through a Chain of Custody (COC) record, and can offer FSC® certified products adhering to Forest Stewardship Council® standards.
