Inspirational Trevor Loses 11 Stone

Trevor Bloom, a joiner at Chilfen Joinery, has had amazing weight loss success in just two short years – going from a weight of almost 25 stone to an impressive 14 stone.

Determined to improve his heath, Trevor joined slimming world and over time has completed numerous runs and long walks. He took part in his first 10k race in Welwyn Garden City and even a gruelling 27-mile walk along the Thames Path in support of Macmillan Cancer Support. Not only was this a fantastic achievement, it also raised much needed funds for a great cause. The whole team at Chilfen is so impressed with Trevor’s commitment and dedication – well done Trevor!

Chilfen Joinery at the London Build Exhibition 2017.

On Thursday 26th October, David Sagnella and Georgina Fury from our Business Development team attended the London Build Exhibition 2017, the UK’s largest construction expo dedicated entirely to opportunities in London and the South of England.

The exhibition proved to be greatly beneficial, with David and Georgina able to talk to many contacts within the industry, with the hope that this may lead to some exciting project collaborations with the Chilfen Joinery in the not too distant future. They were able to gain a useful insight into the specific needs and requirements of a number of furniture makers, main contractors and architects and their needs for bespoke joinery solutions.

Now in its 3rd year, the London Build Exhibition was once again a hive of activity, ideas and innovation. We are very glad to have had part of our busy team attend the expo, and that they left feeling inspired and enthusiastic about the new possibilities and challenges that lie ahead.
