About UsEstablished in 1960 by our current Chairman; Alec Childs manufacturing Export Packing Cases and Pallets, and as our reputation grew within this field, enquiries were received from Companies requiring other timber products, so in the early 1970's the Joinery side of the business was established. During the 1980's saw the expansion and development of the joinery side of the business with the introduction of the supply of Shopfittings and POS units, thus adding to Chilfens portfolio of products. In 2001 the relocation to our current facility meant that today we can offer a complete package for Bespoke Joinery including; Design, Project Management, Supply and Fit.
